We have had a great June, though it started off with a down pour on the 5th which caused water to pour into the bar on the lower ground floor. This was due to the fact that the new roof which we had replaced last year, did not have a big enough drainage hole, it became partially blocked and we had 8 inches of water on the flat roof which overflowed the flashings and came through the ceiling. The roofer who did the job has gone out of business, there's a surprise.

The good thing was that I had already built a new bar in the lounge so that people can enjoy the view and a drink, this has been frequented by more guests than usually used the bar down stairs. A picture of the new bar is attached.

We had a group of Irish guests for 5 days exhibiting at the Waste Management Show and they gave filled the bar with accordion music and got everyone singing along. We also all had to do solo pieces which had to be dragged out of some of us but was enjoyed by all. Thanks to Ray Lawless and his band.

The weather has been fantastic with only one or two blots on a truly tropical heat wave. Long may it last.
