We have had our planning permission granted. We wanted permission to convert the back of the building to 3 residential flats so that we could sell them off, to reduce our borrowing and renovate the front of the hotel. The council decided this was a bad idea and have only given us planning permission for 2 flats (because the lower ground floor will be a meter under water in the next 100 years or so due to global warming and having someone live there would increase the number of occupants that would be susceptible to flooding) So they are holiday flats and will have to bring a boat just in case the sea breaches the wall and they need to get out quickly.
Anyway we should have 2 two bedroom holiday flats for rent next year all being well.

I'm glad to hear the council allowed most of the renovations you requested. A building should be renovated to help augment revenue especially in today's economy. Hopefully the cost of remodeling won't offset the revenue projected. Trying to find someone to remodel the building can be burdensome. Try finding a remodeling company that has good credentials. Good luck!
